WHAT :
The award winning, national touring eco- production “OF BODIES OF ELEMENTS” makes its final New Mexico appearance. Environmental consciousness is reflected in every aspect of the production, with costumes of re-purposed and organic fabric accented with vegetable dyes and tribal tattoo patterns, and recycled bicycle tubing made into striking props. This performance will also feature aerial dance in a suspended hoop !
This stunning group of dancers, sure to be a highlight of Indian Market weekend, contributing to the many artistic and cultural offerings of the month. At last, contemporary native dance will be a significant contribution to the landscape of this internationally attended week of Native art forms.
HOW TO EXPERIENCE:
Performers morph from humans into constellations, gardens of plants, winged insects and animals with unbelievable physicality. Unlike any other visual performance on stage today, Dancing Earth reveals a world that most have never seen before. This dazzling accomplishment had mesmerized and inspired audiences around the country over the past year. Dancing Earth is honored to perform the finale of this masterpiece in Santa Fe.
